Welcome to the William St. Co-op!

The WILLIAM STREET CO-OP is a 6-person vegetarian cooperative household in Davis Square, Somerville.  We  have operated as a co-op for nearly thirty years.

We share vegetarian, mostly organic meals, conversation, eco-conscious chores, and occasional parties and potlucks in our awesome, queer-friendly household, complete with a piano, barn/bicycle shop, phone system and garden with perennial raspberries. Each housemate has a bedroom, and there are four common rooms, plus three baths (no waiting!). We tend to work in non-profits and for the causes close to our hearts. There's lots of support for biking, community, artistic interests, and culinary experiments, and a respectful balance between camaraderie and privacy.

This coop has been around for a long time and the systems are well worked out, efficient, and not too time consuming (they are also revisited and tweaked when people want, and new ideas are welcome). Presently, there are no openings but occasionally we do look for new housemates.  This website will reflect it when we are hunting for housemates.
