Welcome to the William St. Co-op!

The WILLIAM STREET CO-OP is a 7-person vegetarian cooperative household in Davis Square, Somerville.  We  have operated as a co-op for nearly thirty years.

We share vegetarian, mostly organic meals, conversation, eco-conscious chores, and occasional parties and potlucks in our awesome, queer-friendly household, complete with a piano, barn/bicycle shop, phone system and garden with perennial raspberries. Each housemate has a bedroom, and there are four common rooms, plus three baths (no waiting!). We tend to work in non-profits and for the causes close to our hearts. There's lots of support for biking, community, artistic interests, and culinary experiments, and a respectful balance between camaraderie and privacy.

This coop has been around for a long time and the systems are well worked out, efficient, and not too time consuming (they are also revisited and tweaked when people want, and new ideas are welcome).
